Ratings & Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really fun We used these as a craft part of my daughter's birthday party and it was a lot of fun! I recommend removing the glass while kids are decorating the frame, so that they don't get affected by their creative crafting! We handed just the front frame (no glass, no backing) for them to craft. After they dried, we put them together to send home. We used glitter glue pens and self-adhesive jewels, which was pretty low-mess, low-stress, for decorating, but you could use a lot of other things!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality for price Glass front with an attached stand on back of frame so that it can stand up vertically or horizontally. I used it as a Mother's Day craft in my Montessori classroom. I helped 3-6 year olds decorate the frame and used a photo of the child working in the classroom

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great craft! Used these frames several times in my outreach ministry. Everyone loved painting and decorating them with your seasonal adhesive cutouts!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Be careful of the size! The description of these frames as 5x7 is somewhat misleading. One typically believes that a 5x7 frame is for a 5x7 image, but that is not the case here. The actual frame measures 5x7, so is not suitable for a 5x7 picture. I wasn't able to use these and had to return them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Smaller than I thought.... The outside of the frame is what measures 5x7. So it was partly my mistake, but it wasn't stated clearly anywhere that the opening was not 5x7. The picture size is more of 3 1/2 x 5. So these are too small for the project I had in mind. They are cute for what they are. Just know...the picture size is NOT 5x7...that is the outer dimension of the frame.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great size Frame is awesome for crafting. Great size border to decorate. Only downfall was that it is real glass. Using it for a camp craft and 180 girls, glass can sometimes break. I would have loved it if it were plexiglass. Overall, a great craft base.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice but one arrived broken. These were nice, but one arrived with the frame broken, so we couldn't use it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice frames Good quality. Wanted to use for decopauge, but the surface area was a little to narrow. But great for painting or decorating with shapes, sequence, gems, beads... Kids loved them!

Questions & Answers

Does this product have breakable glass and do they have a way to stand-up on a desk?

Is the wood "flat"?

I wanted to see if the wood frame part was flat or has ridges. I looked at the pictures and it looks like they are of two different types of frames- one is a kind of "ribbed" frame and the other is just flat wood. I need flat ones for kids to decorate since having bumps would make it too challenging to draw on it.
Asked by: Rlobach
I used these many years as crafts in my outreach ministry. The frames are smooth to hold paint and or stickers etc...

Can you remove the glass from the frame?

I am planning on wrapping yarn around the sides for the embellishment. I found some frames you cant remove the glass so no way to get the yarn through. Would that be a problem with these?
Asked by: Anjali
Yes, we removed the glass to paint the frame and placed it back in when frame was dry.

Size of Photo Required?

Hi, it looks like the size of the frame is 5" x 7", and the visible photo area is 3 1/8" x 5 1/8". Does that mean that it takes a 4" x 6" photo? Thanks!
Asked by: LaurenWoodburn
The photos are not for 4×6 photos. I cut my photos down by like 11/2 inches and fit it in..

Photo size

The answers to the question about the photo size required (below) and the information in the product description for the photo size required (above) are in conflict? What size photo is the right size to use? Is it a 3 1/8" x 5 1/8" photo space (per the product description)? Or 5 5/8" x 3 5/8” (per the answer below)? Or 5 3/8" X 4 3/4" (per the answer below)?
Asked by: C0nfused
The photo space is 3 1/4 inches wide x 5 1/4 inches high.
